During an interview with Chrystal Kwame-Aryee on 3FM Drive on April 4, the artist behind hits like ‘Alcohol’ explained that he chooses to collaborate exclusively with artists he shares a personal connection with.

“It wasn’t a deliberate decision. I prefer to make music with individuals I have a genuine connection with. When Kwesi Arthur and I worked on ‘Baajo,’ it felt effortless because we share a similar wavelength. We can engage in hours of conversation without a specific agenda,” Joeboy elaborated.

Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, commonly known as Joeboy, emphasized the importance of cultivating personal relationships with fellow artists in his creative process.

“Establishing a personal rapport is crucial for me in the music industry. It’s rare to find individuals I resonate with on such a level. Nearly all my collaborations, even to this day, are with people I connect with deeply. These are individuals I engage with regularly,” he concluded.
