MUSIGA Set To Host A concert For Up and Emerging Artistes On 6th March – Bessa Simons Announces

The Musician’s Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is preparing for an exhilarating musical showcase with the announcement of a concert dedicated to emerging artists, set to take place on March 6, 2024.

The President of the Union, Bessa Simons, revealed this during the launch of Ghana Month on Joy FM.

“We are partnering with the Akwaaba Festival to host a concert at the forecourt of the National Theatre. Our aim is to provide a platform for young, emerging musicians who typically do not have access to large stages and lighting. This event will be a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents,” he explained.

Bessa Simons emphasized that the initiative aims to offer young talents a platform to display their potential. He underscored the organization’s commitment to fostering emerging talents and giving them a chance to shine.

In the words of the Bessa, “We are inviting the managers, corporate world, just look at them and see if you can do business with them, because these are the future the we have,” 

The former music legened to a greater extent mentioned that on 5th March, 2024, there shall be a music and tourism workshop and health screening for musicians at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.

He also disclosed that MUSIGA plans to launch a project titled “Let’s Play Ghana Music” on March 11, 2024, to reignite people’s passion for Ghanaian music. Additionally, they will host another concert at the Gold Coast Restaurant on March 30, 2024, to celebrate highlife music.
