Yesterday in Accra, Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie, along with other notable figures from the creative industry, engaged in a panel discussion during the 3i Africa Summit Partners and Stakeholders Mixer.

The discussion panel delved into the intersection of the Creative Industry, Policy, and Fintech, with Sarkodie highlighting Ghana’s music royalty system. He underscored the necessity of establishing a structured system to guarantee artists receive their due earnings.

“The royalty system has been a significant concern here in Ghana, but addressing it is relatively simple. It’s just a matter of implementing the system and ensuring artists receive their rightful earnings,” he remarked.
