Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer-songwriter and actress, has launched her first feature film, “Water and Garri,” in which she stars and serves as an executive producer.
The movie follows the story of Aisha, a thriving fashion designer, as she comes back to Nigeria after spending ten years in the US. Accompanying the release is a ten-track motion picture EP, which includes contributions from Ghanaian rapper and singer Black Sherif.
“Water and Garri” offers a diverse array of sounds, reflecting the vibrant tapestry of Africa’s contemporary musical landscape.
On track 9, Black Sherif infuses his smooth vocals, harmonizing seamlessly with Tiwa Savage’s distinctive overtone-singing on “Kilimanjaro.” Tiwa Savage also collaborates with a lineup of other stars, such as Grammy-nominated Ayra Starr, veteran hitmaker Olamide, and versatile record producer and singer Young Jonn.
Fans hail Black Sherif and benblaynews.net gathered a few comments in reaction to Black Sherif’s stint on Tiwa Savage’s Water and Garri motion picture soundtrack.
