In a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Ohemaa Mercy lamented the fact that these individuals, often referred to as fake pastors, are attracting massive congregations despite their dubious practices and teachings.
The gospel music diva asserted that many of these pastors have lost touch with their core mandate, which is to be instruments of God’s word and be fishers of men. She attributed the vulnerability of Christians to these charlatans to a lack of understanding of the word of God. Ohemaa Mercy emphasized that these so-called men of God are often more focused on personal gain than genuine spiritual leadership, exploiting the faith and desperation of their followers by promising miracles and blessings in exchange for financial contributions.
