In a significant move to drive social and economic development in Ghana, Global Citizen, the world’s leading international advocacy organization, has announced a partnership with The Livingstone Foundation (TLF), a charity organization established by international musician Stonebwoy. The partnership is part of Global Citizen’s forthcoming Move Afrika: Ghana campaign, aimed at supporting TLF’s mission and enabling the organization to continue scaling its work across the country and globally.
The Livingstone Foundation was selected by Global Citizen based on its reach, demonstrated impact, presence across diverse regions in Ghana, and focus particularly in the areas of women’s and children’s health. Through this collaboration, Global Citizen aims to promote and amplify the capacity of TLF to further its missions and enhance its impact both locally and globally.
TLF will join four other non-profit organizations as part of the Move Afrika: Ghana campaign, which focuses on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through strengthening social and economic development, job creation, and supporting non-profit organizations to drive local impact.
“We’re excited about this new collaboration with Global Citizen for the Move Afrika campaign,” said Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla, Director of The Livingstone Foundation. “We share a common vision of creating a better world for future generations, and this partnership will enable us to scale our efforts and make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.”
The Livingstone Foundation seeks to create a better quality of life for the Ghanaian community through education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and disability justice. The foundation provides educational resources, skill development programs, and advocacy for underserved communities and individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive access to education and opportunities for all.
“Through this partnership, Global Citizen and its non-profit partners will work collaboratively to create lasting change and drive progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals across Ghana,” said Liz Agbor-Tabi, Global Citizen’s Vice President of Global Policy and Strategic Relationships. “By increasing health financing and supporting the critical work of these non-profit organizations, our Move Afrika: Ghana campaign aims to contribute to a healthier, more prosperous future for all Ghanaians.”
